Does TrueCut support metric?

Yes. TrueCut includes full metric mode — metres, centimetres, and millimetres — alongside feet-inch-fraction, decimal feet, decimal inches, and yards. Conversion happens in place; you can switch units at any point without re-entering your dimensions. Regional code-limit presets for the UK, Australia, and Canada use metric by default.

Does it work without a Wi-Fi or cell signal?

Completely. Every calculation runs on-device — there is no app network layer at all. No account, no login. The only network activity is system-mediated Apple services: the App Store purchase flow when you unlock, and iCloud key-value storage (used only to remember your trial start date). Both happen through Apple — not through any TrueCut server. You can solve rafters in a basement with no signal and your work is never interrupted.

Does the Full Unlock support Family Sharing?

Yes. The $24.99 Full Unlock is a non-consumable in-app purchase with Family Sharing enabled — your household owns the tool, just like a physical calculator. The free 14-day trial is explicitly not Family Shared, so one person's trial doesn't affect others in the family.

What happens when the 14-day trial ends?

The app never bricks. After the trial: basic feet-inch-fraction math stays free forever; the baluster equal-spacing solver with its full diagram and cut sheet stays free forever; and the five trade studios become read-only previews — you can still see the form and a sample diagram, but solving gates to the unlock screen. All previously created cut sheets, estimates, and tape history remain viewable and exportable (with a watermark). Nothing is deleted or hidden.
